Methodologies:

Lamers Urban Policy Consulting works on consulting, implementation of complex projects, research of obstinate problems, and maximising learning opportunities. We base our thinking and doing on our core values, and develop specific methodologies according the given situation.

We developed the methodology “Mosaic network method” (“Groepsaanpak” in Dutch) in collaboration with the city council of Rotterdam, tapered for groups of youngsters causing nuisance and problems (see publications for a Dutch-language publication on the issue).

We developed learning trajectories based on the Mosaic Network Method, in which the participation of different organisations is critical to respond to complex problems, for representatives of the cities of London, Paris, Rome, Budapest, Cologne, and Malmö.

When implementing projects we hold on to an incremental approach, in which the proposed end-result is not usually designed beforehand but depends on the opportunities and treats that are encountered during the implementation process. Another methodology we use frequently is narrative analysis, which is powerful in explaining bits of information. This analysis evolves around dialogue with the target groups to get to know the perception of these groups and enrich and enhance the quality of analysis with examples from reality. Lamers Urban Policy Consulting always collaborates with all stakeholders involved.

Lamers Urban Policy Consulting has shown to come up with responses to complex issues that usually surpass the answers based on approaches and methodologies at the time dominant within the involved institutions and organisations.
